I wonder about the following points:
1.) script Ethnologue says they use Kannada and Latin < https://www.ethnologue.com/language/gom%3E. Translatewiki.net offers the possibility to also translate in Devanagari, Malayalam and Arabic scripts < https://translatewiki.net/wiki/Portal:Gom%3E. How should this be handled? On Incubator I see that there are articles in Latin, Kannada and Devanagari, see e.g. < https://incubator.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:PrefixIndex&fr... It seems like they are distinguished with "dn" and "kd" prefixes. Some pages also contain several scripts in one article. How should this be handled? Should there be separate wikis for each script, or better a converter? I wouldn't want a situation like with az/azb to appear because of different scripts.
When I met Vishnu a few days back, he told me that what community request with gom.wiki*.org is Devanagari script. He said they explored the option of automatic script conversion between other scripts and experts suggested not to do so. He clarified that this request is only for Konkani with devangari script. But since this was only a verbal communication, shall I ask them to write these details in the request page[1]?
