Hi,
I want to become a LangCom member because there isn't an Italian native
speaker
I'm an Italian Native Speaker (IT-N) and I speak a A2 (en-2) level of
English and an fr-1 French Level.
Regards,
Ferdinando Traversa (Ferdi2005)
Mr Chitrali.
Please do not write to me privately. If you wish to address me, write to LangCom.
I use the Mac OS and am an expert in Unicode and don't need to be told how to view Arabic characters on my computer.
At the link you give below, there is displayed the alphabet of Khowar. It gives 52 characters. They are these:
ا آ ب پ ت ٹ ث ج چ ح خ ݯ ݮ څ ځ د ڈ ذ ر ڑ ز ژ ݱ س ش ݰ ص ض ط ظ ع غ ف ق ک گ ل ڵ م ن ں و ٶ ﯘ ہ ھ ۃ ء ی ﺉ ے ۓ
This is not the same alphabet which is given at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khowar_alphabet
As to how many people you have working on your Incubator project, I have given my recommendations to LangCom about it.

I do not see the four letters in question on that page.

There does not seem to be evidence in support of this statement.
I made my recommendations to LangCom about verifying the language content and the editor interest of the Khowar Incubator project.

As André hasn't applied for the membership, I worded the proposal a
little bit differently.
The main point behind my proposal is that it's very hard to find that
kind of areal linguist.
It would be good if Michael would tell us a bit more about him.
Hoi,
There are many valid possibilities to describe something that is not a
language and language used may represent a language that does not have a
language code. There is a standard for indicating languages; it allows for
something like "US-American Spanish" by combining a country and a language
code. This is well known.
The problem with everything that has not been recognised / standardised /
defined as a language is that it is highly political. The practical side is
that we can use an x in a code to indicate a special use. However, then
calling it a language is problematic because a language ought to mean that
its understanding is mutually exclusive.
Calling it a language code and use "expressed in" would imho work for any
form of language. When Wiktionaries content is imported in Wikidata, we
first have to have these languages codes agreed on. To first import the
bulk is no problem. It puts pressure on the resolution of such issues and
that is not half bad.
Thanks,
GerardM

Hi,
In the Langcom meeting in Berlin one issue was mentioned several times: The
committee members are interested in doing more than just approving new
domains.
In general, this is excellent!
One particular thing that Michael raised is that he would be happy to
contribute his thoughts on upcoming software changes that are related to
language support. An example of this is the languages button in the mobile
web interface: it's only an icon without a text label, and it may be
unclear and hard to find.
If nobody objects, I'll start updating the committee's mailing list about
upcoming language-related features of which I am aware. A lot of those are
developed by the team in which I am the product manager, but language—as we
know—is everywhere, so I'll post updates about features developed by others
as well.
If anybody has any comments, or if it gets to spammy, please tell me.

> Respected sir, as you know that I am test admin and tirelessly working since 2008 for creating wikipedia in khowar, i have contributed more than 7000 edits in this project, i have translated most used interface msgs for this project. We are using Internet cafe to write articles for this project, if somebody is also using the same IP and contributing in khowar wiki project, then this is not my fault. On the basis of one IP address one project can not be declined after its approval, this is not fair, this is discrimination with the khowar community. The langcom to check these things before approval and before Phabricator task, we have already received many congratulations messeges for the approval of this project. This is embarrassing for the community. After approval we have issued to press release. I request you all to restore the phabricator task to its original position subject to the condition that the khowar community contribute more articles in khowar language within one month and complete the task, I assure you sir, trust me and give one month time to engage more regular contributors to complete the task. Your kind cooperation will be highly be appreciated. Please restore the Phabricator Task to its original position subject to condition that the Khowar Community shall contribute more ariticles and complete the task within one month Sharp. cheers and Regards
