A page on outreach for each country's educational activities

Hi all lovely people! Just to let you know (and please do edit if something is missing or is incorrect) there are pages for each country which can be found here; https://outreach.wikimedia.org/wiki/Education_Portal/Projects_and_Programs I know some of you have been editing and adding already, thank you for that! The two main reasons for having these pages are; * For all of us to quickly see what is going on in education around the world * For you to hopefully be inspired by what others are taking on in education And of course, to feel great pride of all the work that is currently being done! *Be Bold! Hi everyone, On the French Wikimini (http://wikimini.org), about 10 to 15% of the articles are being written in the context of such small class/school projects (pupils in the age of 8-15). Some of them even took place in North Africa (French speaking parts). If this teacher speaks French, he may find some useful information at http://fr.wikimini.org/wiki/Aide:Enseignants. Otherwise, I'm currently in touch with a teacher form Morocco that would be interested in launching an Arabic version of the project. I could connect them if desired. On Wikipedia in French, there is also a dedicated page, which mentions some interesting projects (usually for older students): http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikip%C3%A9dia:Projets_p%C3%A9dagogiques. I don't know if a similar page exists on Wikipedia in Arabic. "The Royal Society is recruiting a Wikimedian-in-Residence to facilitate closer working with the Wikimedia movement. We're looking for a Wikipedia editor with experience of delivering successful events, workshops or training. The position would suit someone with experience of working with professional scientists and with the Wikimedia community. The position is part-time for a fixed term of 6 months. The successful candidate will be expected to work for one day per week (the day of the week may change as needed). The application window closes on 29 September 2013."
