Dear Wikimedians,
We are inviting you to the 2nd Regional Education Meeting. This month, we
are meeting with community members based in the South Asia region. These
regional office hours serve as an opportunity to learn and share projects,
tools, or ideas with the education community from the region.
Regional education meetings are planned by the community specialists
of the EduWiki
Outreach Collaborators

(EWOC) and the Wikimedia Education Team. This is an opportunity to
strengthen the EduWiki network, explore collaboration opportunities, and
identify common practices or challenges that are faced by our community
members in different regions of the world. We encourage you to participate,
share your ideas, and help this become a fully community-led initiative.
Our second South Asia regional education meeting will take place on 27th
March 2022 at 17:00 IST. The session will be led by Sandeep, South Asia
EWOC Community Specialist. If you want to volunteer to interpret this
meeting for your community members in a local language, please let us know.
During this regional education meeting, we will have the opportunity to

The two of them have been a mentor pair in our group's mentorship pilot, so
they'll talk about their experiences with that, as well as sharing more
about their programs, in the Philippines and Serbia.
Our speakers' biographies:
* Anthony B. Diaz is a Network Organizer of Art and Feminism User Group and
co-founder of Wiki Advocates Philippines, and a climate-activist. He is
also part of the EduWiki Outreach Collaborators and member of the Regional
Grants Committee for the ESEAP region, he will discuss about incorporating
Wikiprojects in school programs in the Philippines, and his experience on
mentorship program of the Wikipedia and Education UG.
* Nebojša Ratković is Education Program Manager of Wikimedia Serbia, also
part of the EduWiki Outreach Collaborators and Dashboard administrator. He
conducted more than 250 workshops on Wikipedia for students and more than
40 workshops for teachers in secondary and primary schools within the
professional development program. Nebojša has been working in the
non-governmental sector since 2010, mostly on projects related to youth
education. He will speak about the Wikipedia Education Program in Serbia
and his experience on mentorship program of the Wikipedia and Education UG.

survey aiming to investigate academic faculty’s perceptions of Wikipedia in
Higher Education. You are kindly invited to participate in this survey. We
appreciate your participation. And you are also very welcome to share this
survey with your networks.
The goal of this survey is (1) to retrieve a demographic observation about
the academic faculty’s perception of Wikipedia in Higher Education, (2) to
understand the factors that contribute to the perception of the academic
faculty towards Wikipedia, and (3) with the findings analyzed, develop
supportive programming.
