Hi,
I've just posted this on
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Talk:Wikikids#Google_Trends_for_existing_Wi…
, which show the Wikikids and Vikidia progression, at least in Google
search data:
*******************
For your information on popularity of the two existing Wikikids that
achieve to be active and get a quite large audience
http://fr.vikidia.org and
http://wikikids.nl/ , you may have a look at
these /Google Trends/ that compare their popularity trends in their main
language area to 4 Wikimedia projects (excluding Wikipedia):
* Wikibooks, Wikiquote, Wikiversity, Wikisource and Wikikids in the
Netherlands
<http://www.google.com/trends/explore?q=wikibooks%2C%20wikiquote%2C%20wiktionary%2C%20wikisource%2C%20wikikids&geo=NL>;
* Wikibooks, Wikiquote, Wikiversity, Wikisource and Vikidia in France
<http://www.google.com/trends/explore?q=wikibooks%2C%20wikiquote%2C%20wiktionary%2C%20wikisource%2C%20vikidia&geo=FR>.
You can try with wikinews, wikivoyage, wikitravel, commons: Commons has
just been slightly overtaken by Vikidia in France (depending on the
period of the year), the other are well below in both languages.
So what do you think is the next project to invest on ? ;-) Astirmays
