this African
language. We can not use the same code for Võro in Estonia.
I planned to ask the codes "vro" and "vr" for Võro (my mother tongue
spoken in Estonia) from ISO and Ethnologue. I have no
information that somebody else had asked codes for Võro.
So it would be great if we could use "vro" or "vr". But if it is
impossible so why not to use "fiu-voro" or "fiu-vr" or "fiu-
vro" as a temporary code. But is it hard to change it later into "vro" or
"vr"?

Sulev

Yes, but it has not been released yet, and
according to Brion we won't
use it until it is.
So, unless they want to wait until some time in 2006 for their own
Wikipedia, we'll have to make do with a non-3-letter code.

The to be released ISO 639 codes will be used in a proper manner; codes
published will only be used for the proposed use and when this use is
withdrawn the codes will not be re-used. I am interested to know WHY we
would not use these codes.
