Hey all, I don't think we're going to send anyone "officially" from the Foundation, but if volunteers want to put something together for this, we'll totally support it.
Any takers?

We can fwd to SF list - I'd like to go, and we can give whoever goes some swag to hand out. What do you think?
I like the sound of it. Gives me an excuse to make some simple pop up displays for Wikimedia/pedia as well.

Does Wikimedia want a booth?
Oct. 11-12 in Berkeley -- (I will be there, partially with the GMU chapter... )

Something to propose to Wikimedia-SF-l perhaps, but I am still in class. :-)

Strangely that link seems to be kaput, but you can find out more from a recent boingboing post as well:
http://www.boingboing.net/2008/09/08/students-for-free-cu.html
I'm willing to have a couple of nice pop-up Wikimedia/Wikipedia banners produced for this occasion so there will be a snappy visual. We still have stickers and buttons as a give-away.
I will probably attend on behalf of Wikimedia if someone wants to spear-head a booth. I imagine we could wrestle a few other staff to help out too :)
I was planning on going anyway, at least on Saturday, so I can help out with a booth as well. Unfortunately can't see the schedule... does anyone know if the booth would be for both days?

I'm 80% sure the booth would be for both days, but I could check...

You can list yourselves and your setup needs there -- I've gotten it started.
Cheers, Kat
I added the need for internet. Hard to show off Wiki[m|p]edia w/o Internet. I can bring my laptop to use for when I am around - but will there be computers the rest of the time?
