Hi Bay Area people!
There are two Art+Feminism editathons ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/ArtAndFeminism) happening in San Francisco in the near-ish future, and I'd like to encourage you to sign up for them, especially if you can help mentor new editors. These events often get a lot of excited new editors - last year's Art+Feminism event at Kadist Art Foundation in SF was busy and delightful.
* Friday March 4th, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, University of San Francisco: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/San_Francisco/ArtAndFeminism_...
* Saturday March 5th, 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm, California College of the Arts: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/San_Francisco/ArtandFeminism_...
I'm planning to attend and help with the second one.
Bonus: you might also find it interesting to read about a UC Berkeley professor's recent (and ongoing) project to help a group of women in high school and college become experienced editors through working together in a series of group meetups: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:IEG/WOW!_Editing_Group/Final
