Hi Bay Area Wikimedians!
I'd like to invite you all to attend the first Good Internet conference, which is next Saturday, April 23, at U.C. Berkeley. The conference is designed to explore the concept of "digital citizenship," i.e. using Internet technology to promote the public interest.
Wikimedia will have a pretty strong presence; Barry Newstead and Danese Cooper will be speaking, as will a couple of the Public Policy Initiative's Campus Ambassadors, and yours truly.
If you're interested in helping out, we expect to have a table, with some outreach materials and hopefully people like you to explain to attendees what's great about the Wikimedia movement.
And, to get it all started, they are screening the premiere of Barbarshop Punk -- an excellent, feature-length documentary exploring the importance of Net Neutrality.
Please come! And if you're interested in helping out with a table, let me (or Annie Lin) know off-list.
-Pete
