Hi all,
As part of our media work through the annual giving campaign we've been touching base with some potential local media contacts. Turns out CNET is interested in doing an 'inside Wikipedia/Wikimedia Foundation' story - part of which, as you can imagine, would be told in our shop, and another part of which belongs to the volunteers and editors.
They'd like to shoot this next week - not too many windows available, ideally before the holiday season kicks off. We have a good chance of getting some 'this is what we are, here's your chance to give!' messages in there.
THey'd like to meet 3-4 volunteers from the bay area to get your perspective on things, likely at a location near CNET and Wikimedia (our offices are pretty close.
Generally speaking, would a few folks be up for this next week? Open availability? You can list respond or write to me directly. As soon as I have more precise details I'll share. Sorry for the short notice.
Have a great weekend...
Super! I've got two - another taker? Great visibility for the fundraiser. Oh - and if we pick a conventional date I'd be happy to do some lunch for the group.
Right now I'm thinking we'd at noon?

Actually - there's a chance I might have to move that to Thursday - sorry for the confusion. Just need to make sure we can line up all of the material that CNET is looking for.
Thanks!
