Hi Bay Area-ers,
Next Monday evening, Creative Commons is hosting a panel discussion about open education. I'll be speaking, along with Amy Roth (Wikimedia's research analyst on the Public Policy Initiative) and a couple of other fascinating folks. I hope some Wikipedians can come -- there's a lot of interest these days in how Wikipedia fits into the education landscape, and I'm sure there will be many people with questions about how Wikipedia works.
Here's the info on the CC Salon, Monday June 13 at 7pm: http://wiki.creativecommons.org/San_Francisco_Salon
And for a little background on the work I've done in this area, check out this blog post they just published: https://creativecommons.org/weblog/entry/27552
Hope to see you at the Salon! -Pete
p.s. At the risk of becoming a broken record, don't forget the Great American Wiknic on June 22! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/San_Francisco/Wiknic
