(4th try at sending this, I don’t know when I became so technologically incompetent.)
I’m strongly thinking of coming. If I said for sure I was coming, I wonder if people I haven’t seen in over a decade would show up?

Well, I will probably be in San Francisco around that time, so sure, why not. I don't know what everyone is going to be up to afterwards, but my guess is that we can probably figure something out.

Thanks Emeline for organizing!
I went last time and it was great. Very relaxed, everyone was friendly. People worked on their laptops while there were some general discussions about Wiki tech and community and projects that people were working on.
Looking forward to going again.

Thanks Emeline,
I would love it if you can share a bit more about that experience. Who showed up, what was the vibe of the event?
I'm not sure if I can make it that day but would try another time when I'm back from traveling!

Hi everyone,
We organised a meetup at Noisebridge a couple weeks ago, and were asked if we could make it a regular thing! We'll next meet on November 19 from 11 am to 2pm, at 272 capp street.
The event is here, if you don't mind signing up so we know how many desks to set up.

All best,

Hey folks,
As many of you know, Aaron Swartz was a Wikipedia contributor who also thought deeply about the contributor dynamics of the project & was instrumental to the SOPA/PIPA grassroots campaign. [1]
It's been the long time since Aaron Swartz Day happened as an in-person event, but this time it _will_ happen at the Internet Archive, November 12-13.
I'll be there along with members of the SecureDrop team [2], but I hope to also see Wikimedians. It's an awesome way to celebrate Aaron's contributions every year. You can find more about the event here - registration is free via the Eventbrite link on the homepage:
https://www.aaronswartzday.org/
Would be lovely to see some new & familiar faces from the Wikimedia community :). Help getting the word out is appreciated!
Warmly,
Erik
