Hey folks,
As many of you know, Aaron Swartz was a Wikipedia contributor who also thought deeply
about the contributor dynamics of the project & was instrumental to the SOPA/PIPA
grassroots campaign. [1]
It's been the long time since Aaron Swartz Day happened as an in-person event, but
this time it _will_ happen at the Internet Archive, November 12-13.
I'll be there along with members of the SecureDrop team [2], but I hope to also see
Wikimedians. It's an awesome way to celebrate Aaron's contributions every year.
You can find more about the event here - registration is free via the Eventbrite link on
the homepage:
https://www.aaronswartzday.org/
Would be lovely to see some new & familiar faces from the Wikimedia community :). Help
getting the word out is appreciated!
Warmly,
Erik
