The planned election will not be necessary because of the following reasons:
– There were no volunteers for some of the roles
– In some cases only 1 person volunteered for a role uncontested
– In other cases, while people presented themselves as aspirants, they did not follow the last requirement to engage group to be assessed if they could do the job. That alone in itself could be an indication of the kind of dedication we can expect to see from them.

Therefore:
Justice is our newly selected social media volunteer (Ayisi didn't show up). We'll start a process for Justice to receive some support for data. He'll also be sent a tablet from the community to use in his work.
Sandister will offer editing assistance
Georgina is our events person. She'll also receive travel support etc when a grant is approved to help her coordinate our events.
I had to drop all our activities and edit-a-thons to make sure we sort out the volunteer issues. Now that we have at least two people on board, I will proceed to continue where we left off. I am excited to get back to our Saturday meetups!
