Hello all, happy new month!
We have updates:
Wikimedia Ghana User Group is now a registered non-profit but we are still operating under the name Wikimedia Ghana User Group (wmgh).
Our proposed bylaws https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Ghana/Proposed_by-laws [1] which we requested your inputs for, have now been submitted and are being inspected by AffCom.
In the meantime, we want to invite anyone who hasn’t registered as a member of the user group to do so. This will allow you to have rights and responsibilities as outlined in the bylaws.
Additionally, a database of members helps us in case a query comes from the Wikimedia Foundation, consulates/embassies or other affiliates about a grant, project, job opportunity, conference opportunity, travel etc, which you are trying to access.
If you would like to be confirmed as a member, kindly fill this form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdszcHSvtd3ODWcEam7lz9pZNQyibJwVnmthzPryMxM2V4UqA/viewform [2].
To confirm whether you have registered in the past or not, please see this list https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1fPiyF4vggpbVzmjdeRSSYl74GkSeRc_3yHNMhb38Rno/edit?usp=sharing [3].
In other news, please be informed that Wikimania, our global annual conference, will be a virtual event https://diff.wikimedia.org/2021/01/27/moving-wikimania-2021-to-a-virtual-event/ .
Stay safe.
