Hello,
Manful (https://twitter.com/Kuukuwa_) wins grant to digitise endangered architectural documents in Accra [1]
I'm not sure what the eventual license of the digitized documents will be in. Just putting this news through here, perhaps the user group could connect with Manful to learn more of the license, and see if can siphon some (if not all) of the digitization content onto Wikimedia Commons.

Rex
Hi Rexford,
This is great news only that the only problem would be which licensing regime would be used.
Moreover buildings that are not 50+ years old would be affected by FOP issues.
But this is something we could talk about, if you know her kindly initiate a conversation so we can talk to her about how we could help.
Best, Justice.

"It seeks to digitise extremely at risk and vulnerable architectural and
planning records in Accra, Ghana..."
So maybe not likely an FOP but the planning records might still be under copyright.
In any case, we'll have to find out exactly what the resulting license will be.
Unfortunately, I don't know her personally, but hoping someone in the community might know her personally, and reach out to find out more.
Fingers crossed.

Hi Rexford,
I would try and initiate a conversation with her using Twitter and would see how that goes.
I guess we can make some headway with that process.
Regards, Justice.
