Hello!
Oscar, an Email barnster for that :-)
Yes Alex and I got the monuments list which has 300+ entries. These entries
are of all sites and monuments in Kenya; some in Lamu, Eldoret, Kericho,
Kisumu etc. The ones in the proximity of Nairobi city are about 100.
I started compiling the list on Wikipedia [1] and it is a Work in Progress
as always is at Wikipedia. I only have one source of reliable information
which is the list I personally acquired from National Museums of Kenya and
that possibly explains why I haven't completed/expanded that list!!!

Hello folks,
I think gradually some ghanaians are enlisting their names on
meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Ghana
Do you think its about time we run some projects? Well, i think so. But
where do we start?
For me, I have only educational projects in mind. The first is wikipedia
for schools. the next is the use of Wikiversity in our secondary and
tertiary institutions.
We've got the dumps of the wikipedia for schools online already. WE
could just get them at hand by downloading them, and start working on
introducing these free and open tools to educational institutions in the
country. That's one of the projects i have in mind.
The next is Wikiversity <http://en.wikiversity.org/>. I think its a nice
tool for learning and teaching that High Schools and tertiary
institutions can use for education. Whiles the wikipedia serves them
with research tools, the Wikiversity takes them through their courses
step by step in accordance with the curriculum.
These are the only projects I think of. Lets hear your mind on these. Do
you have any other worth working on too? Share them with us.

hi,
somebody here is aware how ghana is connected to the internet, and
about the internet providers and the cost? do you also have some
"academic network" which connects the universities (state owned, and
maybe students residencies)?
the only thing for africa in general is the current and planned sea
cables where are some outlets for accra as well:
