An: "Wikimedia Education" <education(a)lists.wikimedia.org>
See the infographic in the blog post bellow
http://blog.reyjunco.com/how-college-students-find-and-use-information-info…
7 out of 10 students use Wikipedia, according to this reseach.
I haven't checked the details and reliability of the research.

Subject: [Wiki Loves Monuments] ordering the the WLM calendar 2013
To: Wiki Loves Monuments Photograph Competition <
wikilovesmonuments(a)lists.wikimedia.org>
Cc: Werner Schade <Werner.Schade(a)b-plus-m.de>
Hello all you organizers of WLM,
these days we will announce the international winners that will give their
images to the international WLM calendar. The printing
house<http://www.dieumweltdruckerei.de>is ready for print. You'll find
the order form at ourcommons
page<http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2012/Calenda…>ready
to fill in. Please do so, sign it and send it until Tuesday 4th of
December 06:00 GTZ to info(a)dieumweltdruckerei.de <javascript:_e({}, 'cvml',
'info(a)dieumweltdruckerei.de');> keyword "WLM calendar".
You may enclose Your specific logo, if no logo file is added to the email
to the printing house your copies will show the simple wikimedia logo
<http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datei:Wikimedia_logo_text_RGB.svg>on the last
page.
@WMAT,WMSE;WMDE and WMNL: I have forwarded the orders of WMNL, WMAT, WMSE
and WMDE including their logos to the printing house. But please do confirm
your order never the less to make it formally binding.
For those who feel it will be more efficient to print their copies of the
international WLM calendars in their own countries, we will upload the
printing file the coming week. As soon as the winners are officially
announced.
Technical details to the calendars:
- each calendar is full color 14 pages in A4 landscape
- each unit comes in an solid envelope ready for sending as post mail
- It weighs 400 gr and measures 33 X 23 cm each unit
- The prize per unit is 2.95€ net
It was impossible to calculate the final prize including possible taxes and
freight in for hand as the costs differ to much from country to country and
is related to the number of copies. So this remains a lack of information,
that you will have to complete.I do apologize. When the printing house
(dieUmweltdruckerei) knows the exact number you like to order and the
destination, they will be able to tell you the fare.
All participating countries will receive - thanks to the generous offer of
the printing house dieUmweltdruckerei - 15 free copies to give them to
whom they may decide and in case one of the international winners is from
their country an extra copy for him or her. If You do not want to have more
copies than those, you do not need to do anything. The calendars will come
to the address that you have told us before hand.
We will start the shipping-process the 8th December. It may take until the
end of the year until the calendars reach you. Please inform us, as soon as
you get them.
In case of any question or remark please feel to turn to me "Barbara
Fischer" barbara.fischer(a)wikimedia.de <javascript:_e({}, 'cvml',
'barbara.fischer(a)wikimedia.de');>. The orders should be sent directly to
info(a)dieUmweltdruckerei.de. Please do not forget the key word "WLM Calendar"
By the way the calendars on top of showing real brilliant photos are
produced under high ecological standards. Wiki loves Monuments and cares
for our climate.
best regards

The people who volunteered to blog about the project haven't delivered. I am writing the article myself. Rex kindly add the Akan version:http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Blog/Drafts/Wikipedia_for_… and find out how to add your byline to mine. I will take it to Matthew at the end of today.
Also, is there a way to tell the total number of edits to a particular article? I'd like a more effective way to look at the progress/ edits of articles in the project so far.

Dear Wikimaniacs,
There is some discussion on the mailing list about visa to Hong Kong for
Wikimania 2013.
List of visa-free / visa-required countries are available on
[[wm2013:Visas]] [1] and its source [2].
Please check them out and determine whether you are visa-free to Hong Kong
or not.
The processing time for a Hong Kong traveling visa are usually finalized
within four weeks [3].
If you are confirmed to attend WIkimania and required a visa to Hong Kong,
please send us an email with your name and nationality to
wikimania(a)wikimedia.hk .
This will help us to have a better sense for the visa problem.

The meta wiki page in question is http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Ghana. It was one of the social media tools we used. I wasn't referring to the one Rupert built. Every now and then I don't know if you remember we used to talk about the competition there and link people to the WLM Ghana website itself.
The WLM website is not a meta wiki if I clearly remember, it is a page on commons http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2012_in_Ghana
I don't remember writing that we built the http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2012_in_Ghana on commons.
The only error here is not mentioning Rupert because I didn't look beneath this page. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2012_in_Ghan… to see the thanksgiving.Mind you that's where I looked to compose the post.
Lastly the post is not by PWMGH. Blog posts are from individuals. Don't get it twisted. If I get anything wrong in a blog post on the WMF blog, it's on my head not PWMGH. That is why the post has my name underneath. Whichever perspective a blog post has to offer, it is always credited to the authors/ author.
The way forward now is contact Matthew and see if we can edit the post and add Rupert and the Akan version. So the post will now be by Rexford and Sandister. Still that would be by us as PWMGH. I hope you get the explanation. If it is not possible, you should write a new post. Get a blog account. I suggest Wiki Loves Monuments 2012: How Ghana prepared it's first participation. Highlight what it took to be part, our challenges, our success and so on. It will make a good blog post and that can mention Rupert. I agree he needs to be duly acknowledged as you said. I missed that.
In conclusion, Matthew and Lianna go through what I write not anyone else. What I can do beforehand all posts now is to rather contact you as the coordinator, or any other member and interview them as a source for articles I write concerning the group. It's journalism nothing personal. However my editors remain Matthew and Lianna.

"which is working to organize a local Wikimedia chapter in the country — took to its social networking platforms and created a meta-wiki page to call for Ghanaian participation."
The above statement is simply wrong simply because its not Ghanaian who created the WLM page. Rupert created it (a member of the Wikimedia Swiss). He prepared the Monument list on Wikipedia, from start to finish, added the latitudes and longitudes, basically did all the work. The only contributor by then, was myself, who only had to watch and learn from Rupert's outworkings
Sandister, if i'm Rupert, I help you guys out this much, and you take all the credits, do you think I'll be willing to help you out some other time? Rupert spent 6hours+ in all of his precious time just to make things happen.
If you could not spare at least a sentence in this article to honor our sole, basic, primary and initial initiator and contributor when else can we do that?
Seriously, i'm just not happy about it. That means, the article was written by one PWMGH, reviewed by one PWMGH and submitted by one PWMGH. Will I do that?
I just don't get it.
