I got an email from the Africa Centre listing the images of the Wiki Loves
Africa 2015 themed around Fashion and Adornment.
Great winning images there.[1] Each of the images rightly deserve their
respective spots, and although I'm yet to look through the entire submitted
images, I am pretty sure the judges must have had a tough time choosing the
best.
But that first image is a cracker!

Dear African Wikimedians
Please find below two calls we would like you to consider.
1) The call for WIRs for Wiki Loves Women: this is for individuals to apply to become a WIR on their own within a country. If an individual is chosen, we will be encouraging them to collaborate closely with the usergroups or volunteer groups in that country. Please see this call here:
In English: http://www.wikiloveswomen.org/2016/02/11/295/
In French: http://www.wikiloveswomen.org/2016/02/11/appel-a-candidature-pour-4-wikiped…
Please share this individual call with your members and friends. The individual call closes on the 22nd February 2016.
2) The call for volunteer groups is for those countries that have volunteer groups, or are recognised as chapters and usergroups. If, as a group, you would like to consider running the Wiki Loves Women project within your country, please read this call:
http://www.wikiloveswomen.org/2016/02/12/call-for-wikimedia-volunteer-group…
The volunteer group call closes on the 26th February 2016.
If a volunteer group applies, this should not stop an individual within that country applying (although of course, only one option will be selected if that country is chosen). Please note, the project is being run in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut. Although exceptions might be considered, it will most probably only run in countries that have a Goethe-Institut or Centre.
We are sure you have several questions - please feel free to ask on this list so others can benefit from them.
