Hello Wikimedians,
A spot just opened up on Collabriv's 4-person team interning at Wikipedia,
starting September 22. They would like to place an African professional or
student, age 21-26, there. This internship is focused on communications and
business analysis (not tech).
This is a great opportunity for people who love Wikipedia. If interested,
inquire immediately at http://collabriv.com/interns/ after checking out
requirements <http://collabriv.com/interns/requirements/>and costs
<http://collabriv.com/interns/costs/>.
Regards,
Ato.
Hello Guys,
I hope we all here know about the Ebola virus outbreak. Is becoming very
serious, one of the top doctors just contracted
<http://af.reuters.com/article/topNews/idAFKBN0FS10V20140723> the virus as
well.
If you have some free time to spare, why not do this?
What can you and I do to help? Tracing a building alone can help the Red
Cross and MSF personnel's deployed since this is the map loaded onto GPS
devices they use for navigating.
If you need any help on how to map first just read the beginner guides here
learnosm.org and then feel free to ask myself OR HOT
<http://www.hotosm.org/> mailing list any question related to this.
All mapping tasks relating to Ebola can be found here

Hi all,
My colleagues had the honor of seeing Alexander Sefah-Twerefour's art
gallery. He hasn't had a public exhibition in Ghana for 18 years;
though he is world famous. I highly recommend you all check it out -
there are phenomenal, and I mean phenomenal, wood carvings. Also it's
free admission.
His sculptures are the ones in front of the National Theater and other
government buildings, so you may be familiar with his work.
Also, there's nothing on Wikipedia about him! I'm collecting some
primary sources. Anybody want to help me make this article?
-Josh
