Good Morning,
I wish to draw your attention to an info session that will be happening
this Saturday 28th June, 2014.
This will be a training for all members on how to do basic and immense
edits. If you are on this mailing list and have problems with editing or
you do not understand some markups or even how to use some tools, Saturday
is the day for you.
Venue : Kofi Annan ICT Center
Time : 2pm sharp
I hope you aware that edits are the only measure for scholarships and
opportunities as a Wikimedian. We have a lot in stock for you plus some
goodies and news from Wiki Indaba☺
You dont wanna miss this!

Excuse brevity and typing errors, sent from my phone.
Hi I'd like to welcome Indaba reps back. I hope you had a good time.
Here are a few things I would love for you to help the community with:
1. Please try and put together short blog post to sell this another
achievement WMGH has marked.
2. Please write a short report. We are trying to put all our achievements
and projects together in writing. The group needs to reflect on our years
in operation.
3. In case you think someone will be a good contact for this community that
we don't already know of, you can introduce them to us.
4. Please, through our collective work we are going places. But events
like Indaba are not only for WMGH it's for your personal benefit as well.
Please, don't fall asleep or get complacent, continue to contribute to the
community. I think more things are ahead.
*Berchie*, it's been a while we heard you in the list or you helped out do
something. Let's hear more of you.
5. Please, whatever you brought from SA, let me have my share. Thank you.
Regards,
Sandister Tei

Subject: [Wikimedia-l] Revamped Wikipedia app for Android now live!
To: wikimedia-l(a)lists.wikimedia.org
Hi everyone,
If you love Wikipedia and have an Android phone, you're in for a treat!
Today we've released a revamped Wikipedia for Android app, now
available on Google
Play <https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.wikipedia>.
Our new features include:
- *Speed* - Our new, native app allows you to browse and edit Wikipedia
faster than ever before.
- *Editing* - You can edit Wikipedia on the app. Logged in or logged
out, we thank you for all your contributions.
- *Recent pages* - We provide you with your reading history, so you can
tap as many links as you like without ever getting lost.
- *Saved pages* - You can save select pages for offline reading and
browse them even when you don't have a data connection.
- *Share* - Use your existing social networking apps to share in the sum
of all human knowledge.
- *Language support* - The app allows you to seamlessly switch to
reading Wikipedia written in any language.
- *Wikipedia Zero* - We've partnered with cellular carriers around the
world to provide Wikipedia free of data charges to users in many
developing
areas.
Coming soon:
- *Night mode* - We've gotten lots of great beta user feedback; one
feature people love is reading Wikipedia in darker environments. The
inverted colour scheme offered by night mode will make that much easier.
- *Discussions* - Talk pages are an important part of Wikipedia for both
new users and experienced editors alike. We're bringing them to the app.
This release is just the beginning! We're still working hard on creating
new features to make the app the best Wikipedia reading and editing
experience out there.
Please help us improve this app by sending a note to our mailing list,
mobile-android-wikipedia(a)wikimedia.org.
Thank you!
Dan
