I will be going to Cardiff University on 17/18 Sept. I quite excited to
hear that an EduWiki
Conference<http://uk.wikimedia.org/wiki/EduWiki_Conference_2013>will
be there as well. As usual, I will let you know what happened there if
I am able to attend.
Now that the grant report is up we can focus on other things but I want to
say congrats to us all. Pl. Wikimedia Ghana had just two active editors =
Rex & Me. Now after the outreach where we met 100s we've supported
ourselves to 8 active editors now.
Jaward, Enock, Claude, Nii, Rex, Me, Felix, Barima. Aren't we great? And
majority of us are BarCampers so we need to buy Ato some alewa. We all know
Wikipedia is hard work. So I am happy for the 8 of us.
I am also glad to say that some people are editing in the background but
haven't been part of us. Some people have also shown interest but don't
know where to start.
So I want to ask now, and we should vote on this. What do we do next?
1. Should the 8 of us focus on developing ourselves and building our
editing skills and editing count? At least for some time before we go on
outreach again?
OR
2. Should we go on outreach again right away?
OR
3. Suggest another plan bec
I am taking a break from the mailing list till the 9th of September to
focus on my school preps. But please the weekly edit declaration still
stands. I don't want to chase anyone. Rex and I are welcoming all ideas as
to what we should embark on next. Please put your ideas in a proposal form.
Regards,
Sandister Tei

I think we should give it the shot i.e let Gasmilla get the article and as Sandister suggests " let other more experienced Wikipedians decide if he should be there or not."

So a team member wants to create an article for Gasmilla (Azonto artiste).
I don't know if it has anything to do with me talking Gasmilla about it
sometime back, but now they are interested.
I have asked the team member to write to our mailing list. This is how I
suggest for it to be approached: *None* of us is going to write the article
for them, but the rep himself should do it with our guidance/cheat sheet. I
believe the reasons why I suggest this is clear ... but I am open to
questions about that. Let's await his email then.
Also as the grant report is progressing, I am going to be in contact with
Asaf to organise the "Train the Trainer" plans we have.
I will update you if I do make it to London in October.

Lotoya I think is an excellent suggestion, so that training would not be repeated but only be upadated. Though some might not be able to stream the videos due to slow connection, like me for instance i cant watch flash content now that am at my station in the Bunkpurugu yunyoo district. So a manual too can come in handy perhaps on our facebook group.

Hi All,
I hosted a breakout session at the just ended Barcamp in cape coast that
focused on driving our local contents to Wikipedia.
The session caught the eyes of many that were present in the session. I
however noticed their keen interest was to be conversant with the
technicalities of editing on Wikipedia. Unfortunately the internet was a
big detriment to the event hence not enabling me to go further into that.
I see this as a great opportunity for you Enoch, as you can contact them
ahead of time and book them for your training activity on the NVDay. Their
