Hello ANU
We are still working on your certificate of participation for the recent
Wikipedia training Session at your college
Its the first of its kind we are issuing out and we have to get a standard
one to use for this and subsequent issues
However, all the participants will be receiving digital copies of the
certificate
Each individual can go ahead to hard-copy their own . we totally are in
support of that
Happy editing
Thank you
[Pardon the cross-posts - and the English message] - Please forward as
well!
Hi everyone,
March is Women's History Month, and this will be the second year for
WikiWomen's History Month, an *international* collaborative event that
takes place offline at edit-a-thons and online through project focuses.
Events and projects focus on improving women's history coverage on any
language project. We have a page on English Wikipedia, like last year,
to gather all of the events:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiWomen%27s_History_Month
So far we have events in South America, Europe and the United States.
I hope you'll consider throwing an event in your town, village, or city
- or do a women's history focus for your WikiProject - large or small!

I am happy that at least some of you showed up for the editing training. Please start editing real articles now but ALWAYS use "show preview" first before saving a page. For more complex stuff, use your sandbox.
New users please note that from today the 24th to February 24th you should have at least a 100 edits on Wikipedia. Ghanaian articles need our help and Planning Wikimedia Ghana should be at the forefront of this.
I am also happy to announce that Sarkodie's management is willing to collaborate on our Azonto article. I am contacting Gasmilla/llian next. Without the permission of these people, the article won't have the necessary multimedia content. The elections 2012 article suffered greatly because we couldn't even get free images of our own presidential candidates to add to the text.
Any comments and contributions are welcome.
Wikimedia outreach in Ghana is ongoing. Anyone in Accra/Tema to join in the trainings?

Hello folks
Tomorrow, I'll be at the All Nations University new site at 11:30am for the
second and final part of our training sessions.
Last week, we learned a lot of 'theories' behind Wikipedia and the Media
Wiki software in general.
Tomorrow, we'll be jumping into the 'practicals', the real work -
contributing to articles, and starting some.
I hope to meeting you guys.
