Wikimedia is a big platform, and knowing where to start in contributing can
sometimes be confusing.
A simple trick to get you going in contributing is by just searching for
stuffs that interest you on Wikipedia. Perhaps, those articles might need
help.
After searching for an article on Wikipedia, you don't find the exact
article or even a section of it in any other article, then you can go ahead
to create the article.
Visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Contents to learn more on how to
contribute. There are so many articles that need expansion.
Let me give you an area you can look to help. Polytechnics in Ghana, Towns
in your localities and Foods and Dishes in your area.
Writing an article or expanding an article on Wikipedia should not feel so
far as if in the stars. They're just beside you and its easy too.
