Hi,
in the past few days, we have been working on the participant's survey
that's planned to be sent out after the end of the competition (in
Israel). The planned date is not yet known; I would like to send it
out as soon as we have it translated into the 25 main languages of the
participating countries.
Taking last years' survey as a starting point, we have prepared 19
questions that I think would be useful to ask the participants.
Because it's always better to have some feedback on such matters
coming from a wider group of people, I would like to ask you to have a
look at it and help us make it better.
The questions are available on an Etherpad at
<http://etherpad.wikimedia.org/WLM-2012-survey>; you can provide
feedback on this very mailing list, or if you feel like more private,
you can drop us an e-mail at <wlm-global-org(a)lists.wmnederland.nl>.
Thanks in advance for your time :-))

If you would like to use the WLM Judging system developed by WM-IL, please
reply back to this email to get your copy setup on labs.

~Jason
Hello,
Per the requests of several countries, I have created a page to display all
the approved images and their ratings in a table. It is located at
output.php, for example:
http://wlm.wmflabs.org/il/output.php
I will use this "thread" to update about more features and bug fixes in the
judging tool.
Cheers,
—Yan (Ynhockey).
Several people have asked me for a way to view the most photographed
monuments.
This tool is now implemented
http://toolserver.org/~platonides/wlm/monuments.php
The most photographed monument from all countries* is Colombian 06-050,
with more
than 2000 photos. Although that identifier spans the old sector of the
city of Tunja,
so it's not really fair to compare it with 'conventional monuments' with
are a statue
or a building.
* Disclaimer: If your country doesn't use identifiers or removes the
identifiers from
the description page, it is obviosuly not properly represented there.
Hi there,
I have been asked to let you know about a discussion on the (lack of)
freedom of panorama and its impact on Wiki Loves Monuments that was
recently started on Commons by Elitre.
Please have a look and take part in the discussion at
<https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons_talk:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2012#F…>.
Thanks in advance,

Hi all,
We have seen it coming for a while, but now it is official: Wiki Loves
Monuments has been officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the
Worlds Largest Photography Competition! With 168,208 submissions we
squashed the previous record by roughly 50%. For 2012 we will likely squash
our own record, but it will need some time to become official.
Please find the blog post on the Wiki Loves Monuments blog here:
http://www.wikilovesmonuments.org/wiki-loves-monuments-2011-officially-brok…
Thank you all for making this possible! It was a great journey and I am
very glad that all your work gets some extra touch this way!
Best,
Lodewijk
Is there an option to download all photos, rather than clicking them one by
one?

Dear colleges,
I notice that statistic "incorrect statistic by number of identifiers not
in the lists" in
http://toolserver.org/~platonides/wlm/uploads.php?source=commons&author=227…
incorrect. For example according to this tool the most prominent
ukrainian uploader WoxBox
<http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:WoxBox>has 441photo "with
identifiers not in the lists" but it is not true, You
could look at this list and find that most of these 441 photo in fact are
present in our list. Could you fix it? It is vrey importatnt because we
have nominations for users with most number of different listed
identifiers.
