Dear all,
a doubt:
is Instagram compatible with Creative Commons?
Can I upload *my* Instagram pics on Commons (so could it be used for WLM)?
Please consider that I'm not suggesting Instagram pics are good for WLM
(they are filtered and all, probably not very suitable for illustrating
monuments on Wikipedia)
but is a legal matter.

Dear All,
I have to announce that Hungary can not participate in WLM this year.
I am very-very sad and upset about it, and I terrible sorry.
Before summer I sent an e-mail to the president of the National Office of
Cultural Heritage, but I didn't get any answer for weeks.
After two weeks I called the secretary about my e-mail, and I got to know
that the president has resigned by 1st of July, and she didn't want to sign
a new contract in her last weeks (but she left a note about her support on
it).
The new president was appointed in July, but in his first weeks he didn't
want to deal with our contract.
As soon as I arrived back from the US (Wikimania) I sent an e-mail to the
new president about our co-operation, but I didn't get any answer for many
days.
When I called the secretary I got to know that the team prepared our
contract last year was on holiday, after that the president went to holiday
until 21 of August.
After this day, I called the secretary and legal department daily, and on
27 of August there was a meeting where they discussed about our contract,
but the president didn't decide about it.
Then I called them every day, but I got a call yesterday, that the
president is very busy and hasn't got time for this co-operation now.
This is Hungary in 2012...
I wish you a big success and an extremely good competition for WLM 2012, I
will follow it during the next weeks.
Best regards,
Tamás

HI, everybody
Do anybody know is it possible to count how many monuments do we have in
each municipality? For example we are interested to compare which region of
Ukraine is the most successful with monument lists. But it is so dull to
count it by hands...

Monday is Labor Day in the US and everybody will be taking the next 3
days off. There may be a lot of photo taking, but I doubt that there
will be much in the way of uploading.
This is good since I'll also be taking 3 days off at the beach.
Actually I'll try to check in every few daylight hours. Happy
holidays!

Hi,
I am rather disturbed with uploader discovering that there is now field for
ID of the monument. As a result we have monuments without ID. Is it
possible to add this field? Otherwise it will be too difficult to
recognise a monument.

Hi there,
with September just about 6 days from now, it is time to start a
serious discussion about the tools we'd have for our jury members to
use in the process of choosing the best photos of the 2012 WLM.
This subject has been brought up in a discussion last month, and Nuno
Tavares was kind enough to share a tool that the Portuguese organisers
(ie. Nuno himself) prepared for their jury last year -- you can see it
in action at <http://wlm2011.ufp.wikimedia.pt/tools/juri/?token=a5e88407-be35-11e1-a7d1-e…>.
I'd like to use this thread to collect some ideas about the tools you
use, and the ones that we still might create in the coming month. I
know that there were several tools people used last year, from the
automated ones (like Nuno's), through those semi-automated (like the
QInominator gadget somebody suggested to me recently), to those rather
manual (like the shell script we used in Poland last year).
So, are there some specific tools you used last year, or plan to use
this time? Please share your ideas & code here :-)

Hi,
I'm trying to add a link on the Upload Campaign for Panama so that
users can look an ID up in the list of monuments. That would be a link
to a wiki page but I don't see where to put it:
1. I tried inserting <a href="...">see here</a> into the text for the ID field
2. There's another field named "Page name with text for the ID field
label. $1 is replaced with the language code" but it doesn't look like
the text inside the page is wiki-processed so you get to see all the
wiki markup instead of the links
Does anybody has any idea of what to do here? Has someone tried that
in any other campaign?
