Forwarding an e-mail that was sent to the list on December 12, 2014. Looks like I had sent it from a mail address through which I did not have the subscription to the list, and probably it may been held up.

Dear Members of the Language Committee,

I am writing this on behalf of the budding Konkani Wikipedia community and with regard to the request made for making the Konkani Wikipedia Live [1]. Some of the active Konkani Wikimedians are also copied on this e-mail.

The community is eager to know what further steps they should take so that this project could live. Please also note that the community members did a translation sprint of essential Media Wiki message on translatewiki.net during December 2013 and January 2014. However, this is not reflected correctly on translatewiki and on Meta. The translations are visible against the specific user contributions, e.g. see this [2].

Would appreciate specific guidance from the Language Committee to help make this project live as per the aspirations of the Konkani Wikimedians.
