Satdeep Gill (User:Satdeep Gill) approached Amir and me and expressed his wish to become a Language committee member.
He is a very active Indian Wikimedian -- both online and offline --, as well as he knows at least Punjabi, Sindhi and Urdu (I suppose Hindi, as well). As we don't have anyone with primarily linguistic skills from India (Santhosh is a programmer), I would welcome his membership in the LangCom.
Could he write some lines about what exactly his linguistic skills are and what his motivation to become a Langcom member is?
Best regards MF-W

Hello everyone,
I am a native speaker of Punjabi and I am a near native speaker of Hindi, Urdu, English and Western Punjabi. I have a basic understanding of some other Indic languages such as Sindhi. I also speak Basic French and Basic Spanish. I know Devanagari and Persian scripts which are used by many Indo-European languages. I have a general interest in languages and I would like to see how we can support more language communities to join the Wikimedia Community in various ways ?
Regards Satdeep Gill

I met Satdeep personally 4-5 times.
Recently he collaborated with other indic wikimedians and organized Wiki Conference India 2016 which was a grand sucesss.
He is a dedicated and active wikimedian.
Seeing Satdeep's intrest and langcom needs a active member, it will be great to have him.

Also, MF-Warburg, may you normalize our chart on the Language committee's Meta page. I would like to have the green line with the gap; not the orange line of the past members :) And, of course, I've realized some time ago that I don't know to merge the method that exists on, let's say, Stewards page with the chart existing on LangCom's page.
