Hallo!
I am going through https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Open_requests_for_new_languages , project by project, letter by letter, up to ten requests per email, one email per day.
I am now working on Wikipedia, and today I'm handling the first batch of letter K.
== Kaili == Request: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_Kaili Code: lew My take: Delete the request, and delete the Incubator, too. The language may be eligible, but the request was created by a user who is now blocked, and who didn't do much else. The discussion on the request page is not very deep. All the pages in the Incubator are nearly identical. It's better to start from scratch.
== Kalanga == Request: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_Kalanga Code: kck My take: Eligible.
== Kalasha == Request: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_Kalasha Code: kls My take: Delete the request and delete the single page in the Incubator, which is written in English and Urdu. The request has no useful data.
== Karai Karai == Request: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_Karai-K... Code: kai My take: Eligible.
== Karaim == Request: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_Karaim Code: kdr My take: Reject without prejudice against reopening if serious people who know this language well show up. The request creator https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Arxivist is probably not a native speaker. I have contacted the request creator on the talk page.
== Karbi == Request: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_Karbi Code: mjw My take: Eligible. There has been very little activity, but the code is valid, the language is living, and I guess that the request creator actually knows the language, and they appear to be still active on the wikis. So why not. I contacted the request creator with a reminder.
