hello,
a new Wikipedia has been created in the Hakka language. it can be found at http://hak.wikipedia.org/.
- river.
Hoi, It was reported that much of the Hakka useri nterface was largely localised. Effectively this is not the case.. Could you please finish the job by making the Hakka localisation available ??
Thanks, GerardM

i don't usually handle MediaWiki localisations. there are a few people who do work on this, i assume they'll get around to importing them eventually.

Hoi, When the language committee is in favour of adding a new project, the localisation is very much part of the argument why a language is ready to go life. If you assert that others have to make the localisation available, I would argue that the order in which things are to be done is:
- Make the localisation available - Make the new language available in its first project
Thanks, GerardM

as Jesse said, it's up to you to make sure the localisations are done. all i know is that someone asked for a new Wikipedia; no-one told me anything about language files. if you want the localisations merged first, ask someone to do that before you ask for the wiki to be created.

Hoi, The localisations were done. They are now available thanks to Nikerabbit and the people working on the localisation :) We will ensure that the localisations are available before we ask for the creation of a next project that is the first for a language.
Jesse knows that the localisation is an essential part of the process of creating a new language. It should not be a surprise to him that without the localisation going live the project should not go live.
PS River, thanks for creating the Hakka Wikipedia .. :)
Thanks, GerardM
