After the recent vandal attack on zh:, I have written a bot to enable
faster deletion of pages. Basically, it shows each page in a list, and
asks one whether to delete it. Because of the contentious nature of the
bot, I prefer not to give out the code freely (although it is actually
very simple), but trusted users with some experience in large-scale
vandalism repair can ask for it.
Note that this bot is meant to be used ONLY in cases of large-scale
vandalism, NOT for normal deletion.
Also note that Tim is fully correct in stating that a developer could
do things even easier.

Ok, I will come and help. Any other trusted Wikipedian who wants to help, can
ask me for a temporary sysop-ship on zh: through #wikipedia (coming 1 1/2 hours
or so only, after that I'll be going to bed).

No.
This is not the interpretation of "source text" that we would consider
applicable at Wikisource. Although we do include some recent material
that is subject to GFDL licensing, most of the material has already
passed into the public domain.
It is understandable that your material represents the original source
for the "Conceptionary" project, but it is this very fact of being
modern original research that makes it unsuitable for WikiSource.
I would continue to recommend that WikiBooks would be the appropriate
place for this. However, since my own participation in that project has
never been more than marginal, I cannot presume what their policies
might be on this matter.
I believe that there is a place in the world for such original ideas,
and I sympathize with your difficulties in finding exposure for them.
It is all the more difficult at a time when each of us has other
priorities which demand an ever-increasin portion of available time.

PS: I would appreciate it if someone who is more involved wih WikiBooks
would comment from that perspective. -Ec

I see only one request for it (31 March), and in the only reaction to that
(1 April), I wrote: "for me personally it's getting to the level where I
doubt whether having it would be good at all."

Just a reminder :-)
The goings on meta try to keep you informed of what is
going on on the various, and especially what could
perhaps interest you as far as meta is concerned. The
goings on wait for your input as well :-)

Amond some of the topics active on meta these days
------
* http://meta.wikipedia.org/wiki/Offensive_content
Brainstorming (but let's take our time to do it :-))
about what to do with potentially disturbing images
------
* http://meta.wikipedia.org/wiki/Translators
A work by Sj and Jmabel, to organise translations
around; Imagine.... next time we have a press release
to send together, we could fix the translations within
a few days in all languages...

You have a camera, you like free pictures, you love
sport and the super bowl is happening JUST in your
city
(replace SuperBowl by Cannes festival, Earth Summit,
Volcano eruption, Jimbo visiting, or whatever)
What about covering the event, and telling *all*
wikipedians about your great pictures ?
See the future... what about having a team, covering
press events... picking up news ourselves instead of
waiting for them to come back through regular media ?
Can you picture a wikipedian "journalist", droping by
at an Earth Summit, with a camera in one hand, and a
bunch of WikiReaders about Global Warming in the other
hand ?
Hu, why not ?

I totally agree with you, Jimbo. Every language has qual right to be
considered one, especially on a multi-lingual, multi-racial community site
such as Wikipedia.
