About the lists: * at nl-wiki we have all the lists from Flanders, Wallonia, Brussels and Luxembourg translated into Dutch.
* at fr-wiki there aren't any lists of monuments of municipalities. However we have in Wallonia and for Luxembourg information about the monuments available in French, on the website and in a pdf-file. We are still waiting for users from fr-wiki to create those lists with the monuments, and to undelete those which had been created earlier but got deleted for no reason. Who can take this up at fr-wiki: undelete and create all the lists of Belgium and Luxembourg.
* at de-wiki not much has been done about monuments in Belgium and Luxembourg, we are still waiting for users of de-wiki who want to create the lists of monuments on their wiki.
* at en-wiki the same situation, we are waiting for users of en-wiki who can set up the lists.
Ans yes it is possible to get that done, as we got that done too on nl-wiki. If help is needed or the lists have been created, please let me know!
And the next step should be a Belgian chapter, covering the country Luxembourg as well. We from Wiki Loves Monuments Belgium/Luxembourg got supported by Wikimedia Netherlands, Wikimedia France and Wikimedia Deutschland. Let those chapters also support us with the creation of the Belgian chapter!

I fear that this won't happen too soon, we're still lacking many german lists and there are very few people actually working on it. I just had a look at the structure and I think it would be quite easy to copy the lists, auto-rename the templates and fields and put it on de-wiki. The only problem are the names and the descriptions of the monuments. I guess we could skip the descriptions for now, but we need someone to translate the "Object" column. As soon as you/we find someone who speaks both Dutch and German (and has some spare time ;) ), I'm happy to help with the technical aspects.
Best regards,
Kilian

I'll copy this afternoon all contents in French from the wlm.be website. I can't undelete those which have been deleted, because they are not in French for much of them.
Is there somebody who write French and Dutch in order to translate all lists ?
Thanks

Please check. The list from Wallonia were all French and we (Romaine) had to translate them to Dutch.

Two templates are needed: the header (Tabelkop ...) and the row-template (Tabelrij ...). Users from fr-wiki especially would like the lists of Brussels Capital Region to be translated to English, then more users can participate as well in translating to French.

Hello Jane,
The government has decided that specific objects are classified as monuments, and that includes also old monumental trees, buildings, graveyards, and complete sites.
You can also create tables yourself without table-templates, but we noticed that using these templates for the tables we found it easier to adjust something everywhere. In particular it is also useful for bots/tools to put automatically new pictures in the lists based on the given id-number of the template-row. In that way all lists on all wiki's pictures easily can be added, in all the languages the lists have been created in. And that will be in future many languages.

Porting one set of monuments from one Wikipedia to another can be done in a couple of hours. * Copy the header template. Rename and translate it. * Copy the row template. Rename the template, rename the parameters and translate it. * Copy all the lists to your user space (like user:Multichill/<original title>) * Using regular expressions change the names of the templates and the parameters and add an interwiki link
These are the steps that take up the most time: * Have users check and translate the lists in your userpage * Once a list is checked, more it to main space

I think I get the mails you sent here much better now! I will try to finish up the lists for Wallonia later and then I will look at the ones for Brussels and Vlanders after that.

Porting one set of monuments from one Wikipedia to another can be done in a couple of hours.
- Copy the header template. Rename and translate it.
- Copy the row template. Rename the template, rename the parameters and
translate it.
- Copy all the lists to your user space (like user:Multichill/<original
title>)
- Using regular expressions change the names of the templates and the
parameters and add an interwiki link
These are the steps that take up the most time:
- Have users check and translate the lists in your userpage
- Once a list is checked, more it to main space

Hello Jane,
The government has decided that specific objects are classified as monuments, and that includes also old monumental trees, buildings, graveyards, and complete sites.

Romaine, OK I understand now - there are trees in there as well as buildings, but OK, I will try to look at this tomorrow.
Do I need Tabelkop and tabelrij templates? Can't I just convert the stuff in Excel and make a new table using the table generator excel2wiki? Jane

Hello Jane,
If I take as example:
http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lijst_van_beschermd_onroerend_erfgoed_in_Waterm...
Two templates are needed: the header (Tabelkop ...) and the row-template (Tabelrij ...). I think the parameters should be renamed to the language of the wiki, the header should be translated, and certainly the desriptions should be translated. Users from fr-wiki especially would like the lists of Brussels Capital Region to be translated to English, then more users can participate as well in translating to French.
Was this what you wanted to know?

About the lists:
- at nl-wiki we have all the lists from Flanders, Wallonia, Brussels and
Luxembourg translated into Dutch.
- at fr-wiki there aren't any lists of monuments of municipalities. However
we have in Wallonia and for Luxembourg information about the monuments available in French, on the website and in a pdf-file. We are still waiting for users from fr-wiki to create those lists with the monuments, and to undelete those which had been created earlier but got deleted for no reason. Who can take this up at fr-wiki: undelete and create all the lists of Belgium and Luxembourg.
- at de-wiki not much has been done about monuments in Belgium and
Luxembourg, we are still waiting for users of de-wiki who want to create the lists of monuments on their wiki.
- at en-wiki the same situation, we are waiting for users of en-wiki who
can set up the lists.
Ans yes it is possible to get that done, as we got that done too on nl-wiki. If help is needed or the lists have been created, please let me know!

Maarten, Thanks, I forgot about the interwiki (and now I realize I need the French ones too). I already created an article for Beschermd erfgoed as a name for Belgian national heritage sites, and we already use rijksmonument for Dutch national heritage sites on the English wikipedia, so I think this is OK. I would assume the French wikipedia would use "Bien classé" and the German wikipedia would use "kulturdenkmal", since all three terms are officially correct for Belgium, according to the VIOE.
One of my lists already got deleted for being non-English, but I am just copying the work done on the NL wiki with the alternate languages. I am now following Romaine's advice to create a new description descr_en and translating the Dutch. It's going much slower than I expected, but this should at least work! Jane
