Hello
Jane,
The government has decided that specific
objects are classified as monuments, and
that includes also old monumental trees,
buildings, graveyards, and complete sites.
You can also create tables yourself without
table-templates, but we noticed that using
these templates for the tables we found it
easier to adjust something everywhere. In
particular it is also useful for bots/tools
to put automatically new pictures in the
lists based on the given id-number of the
template-row. In that way all lists on all
wiki's pictures easily can be added, in all
the languages the lists have been created
in. And that will be in future many
languages.
Greetings - Romaine

Romaine,
OK I understand now - there are
trees in there as well as buildings,
but OK, I will try to look at this
tomorrow.
Do I need Tabelkop and tabelrij
templates? Can't I just convert the
stuff in Excel and make a new table
using the table generator excel2wiki?

Hello Jane,
If I take as example:
http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lijst_van_beschermd_onroerend_erfgoed_in_Watermaal-Bosvoorde
Two templates are needed:
the header (Tabelkop ...)
and the row-template
(Tabelrij ...). I think
the parameters should be
renamed to the language of
the wiki, the header
should be translated, and
certainly the desriptions
should be translated.
Users from fr-wiki
especially would like the
lists of Brussels Capital
Region to be translated to
English, then more users
can participate as well in
translating to French.
Was this what you wanted
to know?
Greetings - Romaine

Romaine,
If you
explain what is
needed I can try
and do the lists
in the English
Wikipedia. Do I
just need to
translate the
headers, or also
all of the
descriptions?

Romaine Wiki <romaine_wiki@yahoo.com>
About
the lists:
* at nl-wiki
we have all
the lists from
Flanders,
Wallonia,
Brussels and
Luxembourg
translated
into Dutch.
* at fr-wiki
there aren't
any lists of
monuments of
municipalities.
However we
have in
Wallonia and
for Luxembourg
information
about the
monuments
available in
French, on the
website and in
a pdf-file. We
are still
waiting for
users from
fr-wiki to
create those
lists with the
monuments, and
to undelete
those which
had been
created
earlier but
got deleted
for no reason.
Who can take
this up at
fr-wiki:
undelete and
create all the
lists of
Belgium and
Luxembourg.
* at de-wiki
not much has
been done
about
monuments in
Belgium and
Luxembourg, we
are still
waiting for
users of
de-wiki who
want to create
the lists of
monuments on
their wiki.
* at en-wiki
the same
situation, we
are waiting
for users of
en-wiki who
can set up the
lists.
Ans yes it is
possible to
get that done,
as we got that
done too on
nl-wiki. If
help is needed
or the lists
have been
created,
please let me
know!
And the next
step should be
a Belgian
chapter,
covering the
country
Luxembourg as
well. We from
Wiki Loves
Monuments
Belgium/Luxembourg
got supported
by Wikimedia
Netherlands,
Wikimedia
France and
Wikimedia
Deutschland.
Let those
chapters also
support us
with the
creation of
the Belgian
chapter!
The logo we
already have:
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Wikimedia_Belgium_logo.svg
And to make
communication
easier we need
http://be.wikimedia.org
Yes, help
wanted!
Greetings -
Romaine
