Hi Olaniyan Olushola,
You can easily export them to Wikidata, using OpenRefine, and use them to generate the monument lists via Listeria in Wikipedia. If you manage to get the coordinates, and feed them to Wikidata too, you can then use https://maps.wikilovesmonuments.org/map?c=8.8959:8.5474:6&heritage=1 to find them directly on the map. Not sure how that map works with mobile, though.
Please tell me if you need any help with the exportation to Wikidata, in case you want to do that.
Paulo

Hi all,
Glad to hear that you add a successful contact with this National Commission !
With a first look, it seems that almost all the "Declared National Monument" are already on Wikidata since 2016 : https://w.wiki/7py (sadly most don't have any coordinates).
And about the "proposed monuments", is it really a category of protected monument or not?
Cheers, ~nicolas

I don't want to derail the discussion, but does this also apply when you want to add monuments to your existing list?
We've just received a list of protected monuments that we want to add to our current list of monuments (there might be overlaps between the two, so we'd have to filter these out), but we're unsure as to how to do it.

Yes, in fact, OpenRefine is the perfect tool for completing existing list!
If you don't know this tool yet, you can take a look at https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Tools/OpenRefine or this very good short but complete video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfS1qTKFQoI

Just in case it helps I've learnt my way through Open Refine with this quite nice workshop by Sandra Fauconier - https://youtu.be/VOO8IS73Cq0?t=19458 It's not advanced level, but I found it quite good to start.

Hi Neville,
If you use OpenRefine you can run a reconciliation with the already existing items in Wikidata, and only work the new monuments and create them in Wikidata (always use Quick Statements for that, though, not the native OpenRefine thing, as it has a tendency to log you out and place the items with your IP).
You can also use that to update the existing monuments in the database, in case you get a list with updated info which is big enough.

Hi Nicolas,
In the case of Portugal, we have been using lists of officially proposed monuments for WLM since 2011, as they are generally valuable cultural heritage and notable buildings, and we see a great opportunity to document them, even if they don't gather any official protection (unless they are destroyed, of course).

Yes, of course, we do the same in France (and in fact, we even have monuments that are not even proposed of protection). As long as there is a list somewhere, no problem for WLM. I just asked for the import on Wikidata ;)
Cdlt, ~nicolas
Nicholas, you are absolutely right about the declared monuments. We have published them since 2016 but it's unfortunate that we couldn't upload a photo of many of them. I strongly believe we will get it behind us this year.
Per the "Proposed Monuments", yes, that was the category created by for all monuments that are yet be declared by the commission but have been identifying as a monument.

Ok, in this case, a first step is to create an item on Wikidata for this category of monument (it will be needed as value of P1435).
Cheers, ~nicolas
