Hi Nicolas,

In the case of Portugal, we have been using lists of officially proposed monuments for WLM since 2011, as they are generally valuable cultural heritage and notable buildings, and we see a great opportunity to document them, even if they don't gather any official protection (unless they are destroyed, of course).

Hi all,

Glad to hear that you add a successful contact with this National Commission !

With a first look, it seems that almost all the "Declared National Monument" are already on Wikidata since 2016 : https://w.wiki/7py (sadly most don't have any coordinates).

And about the "proposed monuments", is it really a category of protected monument or not?

Cheers, ~nicolas

Hi Olaniyan Olushola,

It would be a pleasure to collaborate with you.

If you have Telegram or Facebook, send me a private message with your contacts there, so that we can talk better. If you don't have them, we can try scheduling a videoconf by hangout or some other way.

Best,
Paulo

Hi Olaniyan Olushola,

You can easily export them to Wikidata, using OpenRefine, and use them to generate the monument lists via Listeria in Wikipedia. If you manage to get the cordinates, and feed them to Wikidata too, you can then use https://maps.wikilovesmonuments.org/map?c=8.8959:8.5474:6&heritage=1 to find them directly on the map. Not sure how that map works with mobile, though.

Please tell me if you need any help with the exportation to Wikidata, in case you want to do that.

Dear all

Greetings,

Courtesy of the National Commission for Museums and Monuments in Nigeria, we have just received official documents with respect to the above subject for Wiki Loves Monuments 2019 in Nigeria.

I will appreciate your suggestion on how best we can make use of them?

The documents are attached for your look.

Regards
