starting during the Wikimania Hackathon we created responsive Page-template that can be adapted for the local WLM landingpages (the pages, the banner is targeted to). You'll find it here:

Feel free to copy the wikitext source to your desired lemma and start to translate and customize it.
This landing page is based on a set of templates and stylesheets, that are not jet documented. But I think you'll get the purpose of each element while observing it's usage in the landing page. If anyone is interested in helping me with the documentation, that would be great. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Template:WLXpage
Currently it is only the landingpage itself. But I am working on subpages and a Navigation as well. Hopefully that will be usable within the next few days. I'll give you a note.
I hope that this page helps you to prepare your countries competion?!

I'm more concerned that somehow all your content gets squished into the right column. If someone who's better at wiki templating than me could take a look at what causes that, that would be great.
Any counter for number of images submitted is always a bit outdated, and personally I'm not convinced they are very helpful at the start of the competition (a low number is demotivating). If you're interested in competition progress for organizational reasons, I recommend using instead the statistics tools: https://tools.wmflabs.org/wikiloves/

Yes, I have that challenge while I was creating the landing page for Nigeria this morning.
My impression was that the campaign (wlm-ng for example) would be fixed on the upload tab at the start of the contest.
I am happy you asked this question. Thank you,

Hi Martin,
thanks a lot, this is super helpful, and I see that several countries adopted it.
I got one question from one of those countries, which I couldn't immediately find myself, and that is how to plug the correct upload wizard in the upload button. Currently, it goes to the regular Upload wizard, but it should go to something like
https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:UploadWizard&cam...
Could you make that possible? I think the parameter you'd want people to specify is the campaign=wlm-XX (please don't ask for country code, but campaign code).

Hi everybody!
starting during the Wikimania Hackathon we created responsive Page-template that can be adapted for the local WLM landingpages (the pages, the banner is targeted to). You'll find it here:
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments/Documentatio...
Best wishes for the pre-WLM sprint // Martin
DISCLAIMERS:
- The whole thing should work on mobile and has been tested against
the Vector and Minerva Skin. But it still is in early beta stage - so please don't be too angry if there are any unclean spots or display errors. I'll try to do some quality assurance before the competition starts, which will automatically tile in wherever the templates are used.
- The Template-Styles StyleSheet is generated via SASS. So if you
have any suggestions concering enhancements and bugs, don't do it yourself but contact me. Otherwise your changes maybe overwritten by the next update.
- I didn't invest any work into rtl-Support so far. It may work
though, but please don't blame me if it breaks.

Hi Lodwijk,
"I'm more concerned that somehow all your content gets squished into the right column"
I guess, its because of the addtiom of the uploaded image counter. I'd temporarily remove it. We can monitor the images uploaded by looking at the category directly.

There's not much in the way of documentation for the new template, so I was wondering: is it possible to put external links under the link= parameters of various templates? So if we wanted to make the page simple, without a bunch of subpages for every action, the upload button would link directly to https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:UploadWizard&campaign=wlm-XX and not the /Upload subpage, for example. Or the side box for where to find monuments, which could link to an external monument browser.
Jernej
Hi Jernej,
You can specify that the link is an external link by adding the external parameter ( |external=yes ).
Cheers, Kevin Payravi

Oh, so it's the same as with some other templates for linking, I forgot to try that. Thanks.
How about specifying no link? For example: right now, we're linking the "Find monuments" step in the process buttons, but others have no links, so Commons reverts to linking to icon images (such as File:Wlm-icon-cam-red.svg), which could be confusing to users.

How about specifying no link? For example: right now, we're linking the "Find monuments" step in the process buttons, but others have no links, so Commons reverts to linking to icon images (such as File:Wlm-icon-cam-red.svg), which could be confusing to users.
Agreed. I could modify the CSS in a way that the link is blocked by another Element - only in cases where no dedicated link is provided?

Hi Jernej,
If you do not want the image to have a link, you can modify 'link = /Photography|' to 'link = |'.

Oh, so it's the same as with some other templates for linking, I forgot to try that. Thanks.

Hi Jernej,
You can specify that the link is an external link by adding the external parameter ( |external=yes ).

There's not much in the way of documentation for the new template, so I was wondering: is it possible to put external links under the link= parameters of various templates? So if we wanted to make the page simple, without a bunch of subpages for every action, the upload button would link directly to
https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:UploadWizard&campaign=wlm-XX
and not the /Upload subpage, for example. Or the side box for where to find monuments, which could link to an external monument browser.
