We'll be moving the bug-reduced development branch of MediaWiki into production this afternoon/evening (US time) / late night (Europe). There may be some new bugs that haven't been caught yet, so please give a hoot if you notice anything unusual.
User-visible changes in this round will include:
* Should be faster loading pages with many links.
* Special:Export -- export the source of individual wiki pages, optionally with their histories, in a thin XML wrapper which includes metadata (time, etc). This may be useful for those of you working on automated tools. (There is not yet any comparable import facility.)
* MediaWiki: namespace for adjusting the localization of interface messages without waiting for a new LanguageXx.php file to get installed. Limited to sysops.
A category system is partially in the code but won't be enabled just yet, pending another look over the code.

Online now! If people can join #wikipedia on irc.freenode.net to report bugs live, that'd be helpful.
- MediaWiki: namespace for adjusting the localization of interface
messages
This part's being temporarily held back due to some last-minute bugs.

Update cancelled pending additional testing. Some major portions of the localization interface were not merged correctly. Maybe later tonight.

Okay, the update is back, with fewer bugs! Hooray!
Still some oddities, hopefully low-key ones.

It seems my table markup made it as well :-)

Should this work on nationalopedias? How? (Guess something on meta but I don't happen to See The Light.)
(As far as I see you commented out the "MediaWiki:" namespace in languageHU.php, so I'm a bit confused now.)

Guess info's somewhere on meta, too?

It's still disabled while we're tracking down other bugs; it should get turned on once we've also fixed the bugs I noticed testing it but haven't had a chance to track down yet.
Hopefully somebody'll scribble up some documentation! :) Tim knows it best since he wrote it, but he's out of town right now so I don't know if he's got free time to write up docs.

I see. The announcement mislead me. ;-)

Well I realised that the test.wikipedia probably has it, tried there ([[MediaWiki:All_messages]] just like Tim mentioned eons ago) and works. It is really great, I can hardly wait for it to appear. :-) [No, I mean, take your time to test it.]
