Please change that back. The metallic blue is ugly (the page looks dirty) and we have used light yellow so long it has become part of our unique look/trademark. There is /no/ need to make an arbitrary change like this - without the yellow it doesn't look like Wikipedia.
I like most of the changes though (don't know about the ugly box around the footer though...)

Daniel-
Please change that back.
I thought you'd say this. I'm personally quite sick of the obnoxious yellow, though, so I'd like to hear some other feedback before doing so. We can also experiment with other colors. Perhaps it should be a user preference (then again, perhaps we should just support user-defined stylesheets ..).
Regards,
Erik

The yellow *should* be a little obnoxious - after all, if you're looking at a yellow page, you're neither reading nor writing articles and should be encouraged to get back to the main business as soon as possible!
One could even go further and make talk pages start flashing red and yellow after two minutes... :-)

I hated the yellow right from the start, and I still can't believe that people like the new colors of the English MainPage. It really gives me shivers. (Maybe my monitor is miscalibrated?)
The metallic blue looks good, IMHO.

I like the new blue color.
I don't like either the strong yellow of talk pages, so I would not mind it being changed. However, I think it important that colors distinguish between talk page and article page. A much lighter yellow would be fine. Or a light green perhaps. I shall not push for pink :-)

I've got used to this shade of yellow but I wouldn't object to a change for a lighter one.
