5 days is naturally too short a deadline for any
multilingual vote. 7 days is a minimum to find
translators, have translation done, have the
announcement adverstised, and let people time to vote.
I disagree. The creation of a new mailing list is not a major issue, we do
not need to bother every single Wikipedian about it. It's enough to get
feedback from a selected sample of Wikipedians from all major languages.
It is true that the creation of a new mailing list is not a major issue, but
five days is really to short to allow any issue to be translated and
discussed in all different language Wikipedia. This is really a clear case of
English language people deciding for others.
