Tomos is japanese, and he is frequently around Mark. He has been there for a while...perhaps a year at least ?

Delirium a crit:
According to the wikistats page (http://www.wikipedia.org/wikistats/EN/Sitemap.htm
in English), Japanese
(ja:) is the 3rd-largest Wikipedia, after English
and German, both in
terms of articles and in terms of active
contributors. I haven't really
heard any discussion from there though---there's
plenty of people from
the de:, fr:, and even lots of smaller Wikipedias
here, but not many at
all from ja: that I've heard of. Anyone know how
things are going on
over there? Do they know about the Wikimedia
Foundation and have any
interest in it or requests or concerns or whatnot?

Hmm, I guess I've missed some people then. =]
It mostly came to mind from looking at the people running for the board of directors and noticing nobody active on ja:
In case anyone else is curious, here's a breakdown of the people running, ordered by Wikipedia size, with people active on multiple ones listed under each of their top two:
en: 9 de: 3 ja: 0 fr: 2 pl/nl/sv/es/it/da: 0 zh: 1 eo: 1 he/et/ca/pt: 0 fi: 1 rest: 0
