Yes, I think we can change that setting so that we keep all revisions. Disk space will ultimately be an issue, I think. Also, I suppose generating the 'Other Revisions' page will become unruly once there are thousands of revisions, so some staggered display of those (100 at a time, say) might be called for.

From my Wikipedia page:
Larry - why is it that in some cases older revisions are not listed in the "Other Revisions" view of a page? Are these still available? It would be valuable to be able to refer to the complete change history of a page, for a variety of reasons. (For example, when creating an entry for a page for Wikipedia_NEWS, I like to check the history of the topic, and this is tough when it shows only revisions 50-57.) -- BryceHarrington
I don't know, and I wish somebody would tell me. I totally agree. The complete change history of a page seems invaluable. Maybe you could raise the issue on Wikipedia-L? That seems like a good place to talk about it. --LMS
Here's a patch that I think would work...: (applied to version 0.92)
101d100 < $ExpireFiles? = 0; # 1 = expire old rev's, 0 = keep all back rev's 3280,3282c3279 < if ($ExpireFiles?) { < &ExpireKeepFile?();
< }
&ExpireKeepFile?();
