2007/3/15, David Gerard <dgerard(a)gmail.com>om>:
Yet again I have a journalist question: "How many editors are there on
Wikipedia?"
I can't find any solid numbers on this. I recall a graph showing that
activity per person is a power law graph, meaning there's no
sharply-definable answer.
Does anyone have any idea?
On
http://stats.wikimedia.org/EN/Sitemap.htm there are the numbers of
editors with at least 5 or at least 100 edits in a given month. For the
English Wikipedia those numbers were around 45.000 and around 4000 in
September; for all Wikipedias taken together (with people editing in more
than one language counted double) 80.000 and 10.000.
