Congratulations to all Wikipedians on winning the Prix Ars Electronica for Digital Communities in 2004!

For those who didn't realize:
We just won a Golden Nica - one of the most famous prizes in electronic arts!
What is even greater news: The prize will be honored with 40.000 Euros - however we will have to share with a second winner, a dutch/ugandian internet project. Those two golden Nicas and the Awards of Distinction in the "Digital Communities" category will be presented at a special ceremony, hosted by Ars Electronica and SAP, held in New York in June 2004. Since the winners of the Golden Nicas must be commited to accept their prizes at the "Digital Communities" Gala in June 2004 in person: Jimmy, June will be a month in plane for you!
Congratulations to all!

To be more precise:
Two Golden Nicas will be awarded with 10,000 Euro each and 4 Awards of Distinction with 5,000 Euro each and up to 14 Honorary Mentions.
So just 10.000 EUR for us....
