Hy,
I trying to find a answer to my qestions about the use of the
GNU Free Documentation License and how to use it for audio.
I do not fully understand the words of the licence.
And to make no violation of the GNU/FDL license on wikipedia you have to
know what it means.
So far i think to understand this license means for audio;
"A creator of orignal recording can relase a file whit his music under
the GNU/FDL license. But only that file and the copies and conversions
of it are under this licence. A other recording, a master recording is
not under this licence. So the creator has still a recording whithout
any restrictions can still do whaterver he wants. Only the copy and the
offspring of the file relased under GNU/FDL is not under the creators
controll.
Then you are allowed to do whit the relased file;
Modify, changing the music, converting to other filetype and spread it.
This modifyt file must always give credit to the original creator and
the content must be released under GNU FDL. This file must be free to
get. You are not allowed to ask money for the file/content. You are
allowed to ask money for the distribution of the content."
So, this is what i think it means. Is it fiction ?
