When I go to www.wikipedia.org, I get the following error messages:
Database error

Database error From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. A database query syntax error has occurred. This could be because of an illegal search query (see Searching Wikipedia), or it may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was: SELECT HIGH_PRIORITY cur_id FROM cur WHERE cur_namespace=0 AND cur_title='Main_Page' from within function "LinkCache::addLink". MySQL returned error "1016: Can't open file: 'cur.MYD'. (errno: 145)".
Jimbo has gotten the server back up; I'm running a check on the database tables now.

Actually, credit goes to Jason for this one.

But I'm still getting the database error. Zoe Jimmy Wales jwales@bomis.com wrote:Actually, credit goes to Jason for this one.

You all start with J, I can't tell you apart. ;)
The check on the English wikipedia will run for a bit longer (the table was left in a funny state when the server crashed, and MySQL refuses to read it until it's fixed, hence Zoe's error message); those who just can't wait until then, try out Meta-Wikipedia or Wiktionary, which are up:
http://meta.wikipedia.org http://wiktionary.org
The other language wikipedias are also all up except for French, which I'll run the table check/repair on next.
