I don't know which Bible articles Andre deleted and can't be recovered, but I would be more than happy to work on reconstructing them with him and perhaps even giving them a more contemporary perspective. What do you say, Andre?

Doesn't the wikipedia server have backups? Big IDE drives are extremely cheap these days. An 80Gb disk can keep at least 6 generations of compressed wikipedia databases.
Rotate the use of the generations in a sawtoothed sawtoothed sawtooth pattern, and you will always have today's version, yesterday's one that is about a week old, one that is about a month old.
Or something.
