Everything goes into Recentchanges, every edit whatsoever. What you mean is that these thoughtless (I agree) people aren't marking the moves as minor edits. If they did so, then people who (like you) hide minor edits wouldn't see the game show up in Recentchanges, although people who (like me) don't hide minor edits would continue to see it (a risk that we choose to take).
I hope that this clarifies my language.
Yes, it does. Another issue is of course--why are people playing chess on wikipedia when there are so many other places to play it? Yes, I agree that people should have some latitude in regards to what they put on their own userpages, but that borders on the ridiculous.

It is an awfully tedious way of playing chess. I predict that unless people start making a big issue of this, they'll get bored and quit after very few games!
