Old hands on en.wiki should already know my very strong position on this issue but PLEASE move talk that only concerns (or even MOSTLY concerns) en.wiki to the English mailing list. If policy ideas are generated at wikien-l that might be useful for the larger community then we can move discussion to the general policy mailing list for the whole project (HINT: Wikipedia-L).
