It looks to me like the linking problem are fixed (I tested this on two of the wikis), and the new wikis are using the parentheses. Could you help us test this by going there and writing something (with parentheses)?

I have tested several Items on DE-Wiki with parentheses like Madonna (Religion) and Madonna (Music) and one with German umlaute with () as well. It works very well.
Is this part of an official Wiki policy or recommodation for solving ambiguity problems? (Which would have my support.)
Rule would be: Item (Most general but still distinctive identifier) like Delphi (place), Delphi (software), Delphi (mythology)(?)

I think nearly everyone agrees that parentheses are a very acceptable solution to ambiguity problems.
Rule would be: Item (Most general but still distinctive identifier) like Delphi (place), Delphi (software), Delphi (mythology)(?)
Yes, good idea. When it's implemented on the main (English) Wikipedia, I (we) will thoroughly update [[naming conventions]] and related pages.
