There are differences, some of them relevant. AU didn't include the pictures, neither the general or the specialized. AU didn't include the references or the outside sites. AU didn't include much about the religious attitudes, especially the Islamic. . WP has a section of links labeled OPPOSITION.
There are a number of relevant topics not included in WP (or at least not in this article), and perhaps this will inspire me to add them.
Considering that "masturbation" is one of the words likely to be blocked by filters, it is good to have this information in a reasonably reliable and accessible source. --but there's a technical question: the link even within WP is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masturbation. Possibly this would cause some filters to not accept the page. I found that neither of my browsers could be set to enable parental controls, so I couldn't test it.

What striked me is the subtitle of this site
Kids.Net.Au - kids safe search engine for children, parents and
teachers.
I love the idea of a kid safe search engine for children using primarily wikipedia :-)
It's actually just a very out of date mirror of Wikipedia (July 2003 according to their [[current events]] page). They don't appear to have changed anything to make it "child-friendly".
Angela.
I am so disappointed :-(
